Duncan comes to the High Country from Texas where he has been active in the real estate industry since 2003. Before that he had a highly decorated military career in the United States Navy. He has lived all over this beautiful country from North to South and East to West and has a huge passion for real estate and the real estate industry. He is a certified NAR Designation / Certification instructor, a Certified Mediator as well as being a trained Ombudsman. Some of the other skills he has acquired over the years are computer geek, photography/video nerd and musician. In his youth he has also worked as a cowboy, a lumberjack and a trapper. You will see him wandering the High Country with his camera, easily recognizable in his cowboy hat. If you see him be sure to introduce ‘Yosef’ !

Shannon has been with the Association since 2013 and greatly enjoys working with Realtors and her co-workers. She studied Business Administration at CCC&TI. Serving as the MLS Coordinator and Information Specialist, Shannon is the primary contact for our MLS systems. She sends out weekly communication via the “Matrix Monday” and "Tuesday Tips." She is a mother of 3 children. Outside of work Shannon enjoys spending quality time with her family, working on her home and anything outdoors.
Mary processes new membership applications, coordinates Association events and serves as the primary membership contact. She studied Naturalist Biology at Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk and Environmental Science at Hawai'i Pacific University in Kaneohe, HI. After living on both east and west coasts over the past two decades, Mary returned to the High Country and had been working in the hospitality industry in Blowing Rock where she resides with her family.

Michael Cooper is a native of western North Carolina, with family from Wilkes, Ashe and Watauga. He grew up in North Wilkesboro and is a 2008 graduate of Appalachian State University. His first job in college was covering sports for the Watauga Democrat. He is an attorney who spent three years practicing law in the High Country before working in state government. We are excited to have him on board to help us with promoting Property Rights and Homeownership.
